I wrote this LinkedIn post a year ago. It was true then, and it’s still true today.

Email is the Internet’s original killer app, and the email newsletter is a cost-effective way to get your message across to customers eager to hear from you (yes, they have to opt-in. Never, ever buy mailing lists if you value your reputation.)

Depending on which study you read, done right, the ROI on email is around 35 – 40 times. Here’s a report that says 36 on average.
